The members of the Whiskey Brothers are fine, experienced musicians. But they all have two things in common: they love to play, and they all appreciate Maker's Mark Whisky -- the official whiskey of the Whiskey Brothers!

Jeff Ward -- Mandolin, guitar, vocals

Jeff is the head honcho of the Whiskey Brothers, co-founding the band way back in the 20th century with Dave Simon. His rich singing voice is a key element to the Whiskey Brothers' sound, as is his mandolin work.  Jeff's musical talents have him much in demand around the region, so you may see him doing fill-in work with any number of local Bluegrass outfits in addition to playing with The Brothers.

John MacFarlane -- Fiddle, vocals

Dr. John Macfarlane is a major talent on that little ol' fiddle and between he and Dave Courchaine, know just about every Bluegrass song ever written. How he can coax so much emotion and drive out of that little instrument is a wonder to us all. His gifts also include the ability to find just the right harmony for any occasion. John's musical history includes stints with the Marshalls, and Coal Train in Pittsburgh, and the Blue Canyon Band in Arizona.

Craig Fletcher -- Banjo, guitar, vocals

Craig is one of THE premier banjo pickers in the region, and is a wicked Western Swing guitar player to boot.  Somehow, Craig makes banjo playing look easy, inspiring hundreds of would-be pickers to try that instrument, only to find years of frustration. Craig's eclectic musical tastes drive the Western Swing forays by the Whiskeys.  Craig's musical talents make him a sought-after sideman. He spent several years with the Alhambra Valley Band, and played with Belle Monroe's Brewglass Boys, among others.

Dave Courchaine -- Guitar, Vocals

Dave possesses possibly the best smile in Bluegrass (see photo at right).  But the Whiskeys didn't bring him on board for his looks -- he is a terrific guitar player, and the depth of his knowledge of Bluegrass borders is downright spooky. How anyone can remember the lyrics to thousands of songs, we'll never know.  Dave is a veteran of local bands such as Straight Ahead and is invariably the Last Man Standing at any bluegrass jam.

Bruce Campbell -- Bass, vocals

Bruce is the newest member of the Whiskey Brothers.  The band needed someone to occupy the dreaded Bluegrass penalty box, and Bruce stepped in to hold down the bottom with his bass playing. Bruce is a veteran of the local Bluegrass scene, and one of its busiest musicians -- in addition to his duties with the Whiskeys, he is a regular member of the Alhambra Valley Band, the Blue Moon Brothers, and The Backyard Party Boys.
